Default Guild Wars Client + Internet Explorer = Freeze-up

For the past couple of days I've had a problem with my PC completely freezing and requiring a reboot when I run GW and Internet Explorer at the same time. I don't know if this is hardware, software or both any any ideas/advice/comments would be great. Here's my specs:

Pentium P4: 3.00GHz HT
1024MB DDR RAM
Radeon X800XT PE Graphics Card (Latest drivers <6.10>, re-installed)
80GB HDD
Windows XP SP2
Latest DirectX

Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Thanks very much.
